Twin Meter
A layout that fills the screen with two large gauges. Use your phone as an add-on gauge — a coolant gauge for cars that only have warning lights, or a boost or voltage gauge. Just plug in an OBD2 adapter; no wiring needed.
1.Overview
Twin Meter cuts the dashboard down to two slots and shows each one large: stacked in portrait, side by side in landscape.
Many recent cars have no coolant gauge — just a blue and a red warning light. Instead of fitting an aftermarket gauge, mount your phone and keep coolant temperature or boost on screen all the time.
Each slot can show the Twin Meter-only "ring gauge" (§3) and "set display" (§4), as well as any widget available in the other layouts.
Twin Meter is a Premium feature. On the free plan it still appears in the layout list, where you can preview the default setup.
2.How to use
- Go to Settings › Dashboard Settings › Layout and choose "Twin Meter"
- It starts with an rpm ring gauge and the ENGINE set
- Use "•••" at the top right of each slot to change what it shows and how
The Twin Meter setup is saved per vehicle profile. Switching back to the Standard layout keeps your Twin Meter setup intact.
3.Ring gauge
A display style available only in Twin Meter slots. The value sits large in the center, surrounded by a ring gauge.
Available for: rpm / speed (ECU or GPS) / boost / coolant / oil temp / intake temp / voltage
| Element | Details |
|---|---|
| Current value | Shown large in the center. The ring fills up to the current value |
| Red zone | The warning range is always shown in red, and the fill turns red when the value enters it |
| Peak | Shown as a white triangle on the ring and a PEAK figure. Resets automatically when the OBD adapter connects and when recording starts |
| Cold range | Coolant and oil temperature show the warm-up range in blue with "WARMING UP" |
| Units | Switchable in the slot's detail settings (km/h ⇄ mph, °C ⇄ °F and so on) |
Shift light (rpm)
The rpm ring gauge has a five-lamp shift light. Lamps light up as revs rise, and all of them flash at the limit.
Set where the lamps start and where they flash under "Shift light (Twin Meter)" in the vehicle profile edit screen. Leave them blank and all lamps flash at the rpm gauge's red zone, starting to light 1,000 rpm before it.
4.Set display
A Twin Meter-only display that lists four related values in one slot. Each row's divider doubles as a bar, with a white tick marking the peak.
| Set | Rows |
|---|---|
| ENGINE | RPM / SPEED / THROTTLE / BOOST |
| TEMP | WATER / OIL / INTAKE / VOLTAGE. Intake also shows its difference from ambient temperature (e.g. AMB +10) |
| CALC | FUEL ECO (instant) / AVG FUEL / EST. POWER / TRIP. Instant fuel economy and estimated power show a trend line behind the row |
- Values your car does not report (oil temperature, ambient temperature and so on) show "--". The row stays in place.
- Rows in the warning range turn red — label, value and bar. TEMP rows show the value and bar in blue until warmed up.
- Set displays use fixed units: km/h, °C and bar. (Only ring gauges can switch units.)
- EST. POWER in CALC uses the standard coefficient unless you have calibrated it.
5.Notes
- Twin Meter is mobile-only. It is not part of Desktop playback or video export. To keep a video of the Twin Meter screen, use screen recording on the playback screen.
- As in the other layouts, the recording control bar hides automatically. While it is shown, it overlaps the bottom edge of the lower slot.
- If you cancel Premium, the layout falls back to Standard. Your Twin Meter setup is kept and comes back when you resubscribe.
- Do not stare at the screen while driving. Mount your phone securely where it does not block your view or controls.
6.FAQ
Is it free?
Twin Meter is a Premium feature. On the free plan you can still preview the default setup in the layout list, and you can try it with the 14-day free trial.
Can I use the ring gauge in other layouts?
Not at the moment — only in Twin Meter slots. The set display is Twin Meter-only too.
Oil temperature stays at "--".
Many cars do not report oil temperature (PID 0x5C) over OBD2, so it shows "--". Coolant temperature is available on most cars.
Can I reset the peak manually?
Not at the moment. Peaks reset automatically when the OBD adapter connects and when recording starts.
